The Office of Public Safety and Inspections Presents Training on the Manufactured Buildings Program in 780 CMR and the Hoisting Program in 520 CMR.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

The Office of Public Safety and Inspections is pleased to offer training on the Manufactured Buildings Program which will cover the requirements for building permit applications which will aid municipal building officials to administer the local permitting process. Hoisting is part of setting manufactured buildings so this training will also include aspects of the Commonwealth’s hoisting requirements.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for these trainings include building officials, building contractors, and hoisting operators.

Cont’d Ed for Construction Supervisor License:

CS-0200-18 (3 Hours – Building Code)

The training covers methods and processes that enable personnel to rapidly identify, inventory, and screen local buildings according to their expected safety and usability during and after earthquakes. Local officials can use these data to plan and prioritize further engineering and vulnerability analysis, emergency-response needs, and mitigation projects. This training is based on the third edition of the document published by FEMA in January 2015
