Course Description

Passive Building Training

This class will take a look at Passive Building principals with a focus on the details required for a high-performance home.  Exploring methods for avoiding common building science failures and preserving indoor air quality and occupant health.

The course will cover foundation and framing details, window and door installation for air and water tight assemblies, and means and methods for a proper thermal envelope.

The seminar features specific building products available in our market and how to use in practice.

The class will specifically look at compartmentalization for multi-family housing and the construction challenges associated with this typology.
